Lake Pontchartrain Causeway: at I-10
entrance ramp closed because of construction work — until March 1, 2012
Comment: A temporary entrance to I-10 West will be provided at the intersection of Severn and the North I-10 Service Rd. The entrance in intended for Veterans traffic headed to I-10 West. All traffic using the entrance must enter I-10 West from Southbound Severn only. A few closures will be necessary: 1) No left turn from Westbound Veterans onto Southbound Causeway. 2) No left turn from Southbound Severn onto Eastbound Veterans.

bridge closed because of bridge maintenance work from 07:00am CDT to 07:00pm CDT daily — until Tuesday, at about 7:00 AM CDT
Comment: The Cote Blanche Pontoon bridge on LA 308 E. Main St. between LA 308 and LA 1 W. Main St. near E. 52 nd St. and E. 53 rd St. is now only open to boat traffic from 7 am to 7 pm daily and vehicle traffic 24/7. The bridge will close to traffic 9/3 at 7 pm and will resume the afforementioned schedule on 9/7 at 7 am.

US 90 in both directions: from South Galvez Street to Orleans Avenue
road construction, road closed intermittently, truck restrictions in force Height limit 16 ' 6 ", Width limit 9 ' 0 "
Comment: KMTC will be switching the traffic configuration at the West bank Traffic Circle of the Huey P. Long bridge. Bridge City Avenue traffic heading east on the west side of US 90 coming from the shipyards will also be detoured to the south some to facilitate the box culvert work going through the west side of the traffic circle. Height Restriction: because of the tunnel section the height restriction is 16'-6".

LA 46 in both directions: from Sylvia Drive to LA 300
road construction — until March 1, 2011
Comment: Hwy 46 Northbound and Southbound in St. Bernard Parish adjacent to the Fire Station 10 near Veret will have lane shifts beginning July 21, 2010 and remain in effect until March 2011. Southbound access to Fire Station Road will be open to traffic during all phases. Phase 1: Northbound and Southbound traffic will be limited to using the outside lanes while crews construct temporary crossovers just North and South of the future floodgates. Phase 1 lane shifts will begin July 21 until August 2010. Phase 2: Southbound traffic North of the floodgates will cross over to the single inside lane of the Northbound side of Hwy 46. Northbound traffic will be limited to using the single outside lane of the Northbound side. Southbound traffic will cross back over to the Southbound lanes just South of the future floodgates. Phase 2 lane shifts will begin in August 2010 until January 2011. Phase 3: Northbound traffic South of the floodgates to cross over to use the single inside Southbound lane. Traffic will be limited to using the single outside Southbound lane. Northbound traffic will cross back over to the Northbound lanes just North of the floodgates. Phase 3 lane shifts will begin January 2011 until March 2011.
